Insurer representatives have been invited from National Heritage Insurance Company, Unisys Corporation, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan, Health New England and Fallon Health Plans. Representatives from the participating plans will review claims with physicians and their office staff and answer questions regarding claims processing.


The program will be offered across the state at no charge to participants. Thirty-minute appointments for each plan may be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Physician offices are eligible for one appointment per plan. More than one person from an office may attend.


Questions of liability in auto accidents are usually easy to answer. There's usually a person who's clearly at fault, or the responsibility can be divided appropriately among the parties involved. However, there are certain accident scenarios in which figuring out who's responsible is difficult at best.
